How We Review HVAC Software

Our reviews are built to answer one practical question: which type of HVAC business is this software likely to fit? We use a consistent framework and explain the evidence behind our conclusions.

1. Define the use case

We identify the product’s intended customer, typical company size, operating model, and primary job to be done. A platform built for an enterprise operation should not be scored as if it were designed for a one-person business.

2. Gather primary evidence

We prioritize official product documentation, pricing pages, help centers, release notes, terms, product demonstrations, and direct product access when available. Time-sensitive facts are checked close to publication.

3. Evaluate seven decision areas

Our framework covers core operations; ease of use; mobile experience; customer communication; integrations; reporting and growth; and pricing and value. Weighting can change when a category demands it, and the review explains any material change.

4. Test what we can verify

When trial or demo access is available, we inspect relevant workflows and record what was tested. When direct testing is unavailable, we say so and avoid presenting documentation research as hands-on experience.

5. Identify tradeoffs and alternatives

A recommendation must include limits, best-fit conditions, and alternatives. Affiliate availability does not determine inclusion or ranking.

6. Review and update

Every article receives a source, claim, disclosure, and internal-link check before publication. Material pricing or product changes trigger an update and a revised date.
